This is my Friend Walter

This is my Friend Walter ... He lives not too far away from me. I whistle a particular tune and he comes and sits about a foot from my knee on my balcony edge.  Then he talks to me ... he caws at me.  I know what he wants; cat treats but lately I have noticed that when he gets close to me he makes a sound like a hick up.  It is a deliberately sound not an accident. Then he looks for me to reply, so I talk to him. 

He waits for me to say something then he caws again and then we go through the whole procedure again. We have developed a ritual in our relationship.  I think he likes me. Then we do this over and over and while away the afternoon until he gets his full feed of cat treats and sits there and talks to me.  Then he is gone for another day 

If you watch the Fringe Friday nights on Fox and you know the qualities of "Walter the mad scientist" this bird reminds me of him and hence the name.
